Bowers and Wilkins (B&W) PX7 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones Review

Bowers and Wilkins have provided high-quality audio experiences for over 50 years, recently evolving and providing a true wireless lifestyle with the Formation launch in 2019. Today in particular we are going to talk about the PX7, their newest noise-cancelling wireless headphones. These premium wireless headphones are battling against the noise of some of the largest products in their niche, BOSE Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 and SENNHEISER HD 4.50, offering great audio and high build quality.

The PX7 obeys your every move. Lift an ear cup to hear what’s happening around you and the music automatically stops. Put it back and the music plays on. This is a unique feature that Bower and Wilkins implemented which creates an amazing user-friendly experience.

The Bowers and Wilkins (B&W) PX7 supports the SBC, AAC and aptX Bluetooth codecs and features active noise cancellation putting you in the centre of your music. The comfortable cushions surround the ear in order to create an immersive experience, keeping the outside world out of the music.

One of the main selling points is its noise-cancelling capabilities, press a single button and flick through the different options: Low, Medium, High. The ‘Low’ option allows for quiet chatter and still being able to hear conversations while the ‘High’ option drowns out the background completely immersing yourself in your music.

The PX7 offers one of the largest battery lives in the wireless headphone area. Lasting up to 30 hours on a single charge. Fly from San Francisco to London and back, with time to spare.

The design of the PX7 allows for maximum comfort. The large plush cousins surround your ear and sit comfortably on the side of your head. The headband is layered with the same material from the earcups, this ensures uniform comfort throughout. Although the headband is larger than other headphones, they still provide a comfortable experience.

Verdict

The main purpose of a pair of headphones is to sound, look and feel perfect. The Bowers and Wilkins Px7’s do all 3. The Px7’s are battling right next door to the leaders in Noise-Cancelling Headphones, Bose and Sennheiser.
